MixedGrip is an app for logging your training and, if you want it, what you eat. This page says what it keeps, why, and who else ever sees it. It is short because there is not much to say: your data is yours, it is kept so the app can show it back to you, and it is not sold to anyone.
What we collect
Everything below is something you put there yourself by using the app.
- Your account. Your name, your email address and your profile picture, from the Google account you sign in with. Your preferred units.
- Your training. The sets and workouts you log — exercise, weight, reps, time, distance, RPE, notes and when you did them — and the templates you write.
- Your videos and photos. Set videos you record, the thumbnails made from them, and progress photos you add to a check-in.
- Your body. Weigh-ins, measurements, and daily figures like steps, where you enter them or your device hands them over.
- What you have eaten. Diary entries, foods and meals you save, your nutrition goals, and the photos you take of a meal or a label.
- Feedback you send from inside the app.
Signing in
There are no passwords here. Sign in with Google is the only way in, and what Google hands us is your name, your email address and your account's picture. We never see, ask for or store your Google password. Signing in creates a session token on your device that keeps you signed in until you sign out.
Where it is kept
Your records are stored on Cloudflare, which runs our server and our database. Your files — set videos, their thumbnails, and progress and meal photos — are kept in object storage on Cloudflare, reachable only through a signed, short-lived link issued to your signed-in device. The apps also keep a copy of your data on your own device so they work without a connection.
The AI that reads a meal
When you ask the app what is in a meal, or point it at a nutrition label, the photo and anything you typed with it are sent to Google's Gemini so it can be read back as food and amounts. Nothing else is sent to it — not your training, not your weigh-ins, not your account. If you never use that feature, nothing of yours reaches it at all.
Sharing
- Publishing a template. A template you publish to the library is visible to other people using MixedGrip, under your name. Nothing else you log is published with it.
- The law. We would disclose data if we were legally required to, and no further than required.
We do not sell your data, we do not advertise to you or let anyone advertise against your data, and there is no third-party analytics, ad SDK or tracker in the apps or on this site.
Your data, on your terms
Settings has an export: pick what you want, choose JSON or CSV, and you get a file of it — the record, in a form you can read and take elsewhere. You can correct or delete anything from inside the app, and you can delete the whole account and everything in it by writing to us — see deleting your account. We keep your data for as long as your account exists.
Children
MixedGrip is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has an account here, write to us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes up on this page and the date at the top changes with it.
